Dr. Megan Roberts

Megan began her education career in New York City, first as a science teacher, then as Assistant and then Principal - all of the same public middle school in Manhattan. After spending a decade in schools, she was appointed as the Director of STEM for one of the regions in NYC where she was responsible for teacher professional development, curriculum oversight and assessment for 180 schools. She held this position for seven years before being asked to lead the DOE's The Office of Innovation. As Executive Director, Megan spent four years leading ed tech development and school-redesign program for the NYC school system.
Prior to joining ASSISTments, Megan served as the Executive Director of Math for America (MƒA), a non-profit with a mission of elevating the respect of the teaching profession by working to keep math and science teachers in the classroom.
Megan holds an Ed.D. in Science Policy & Education from Teacher's College, Columbia University; an M.A. in Science Education, and a B.S. in Structural Geology. She lives in New York City with her husband, two kids and golden retriever. She works remotely.
