The ASSISTments Foundation (TAF) is in a unique position to expand our reach and impact through the sale of products and services that are a logical next step from our Forever Free Solution. We are a non-profit with a staff dedicated to improving student learning through ASSISTments, a responsive online learning platform that is teacher-paced and evidence-based. ASSISTments allows teachers to assign independent math practice online, providing students with immediate feedback and teachers with actionable data. ASSISTments experienced tremendous growth in 2020 and has been used by more than 20,000 teachers and 500,000 students. The system is one of few available K-12 math tools proven effective through rigorous randomized controlled research.

Specific to the Role: The Partnership Development Manager is a direct contributor sales role responsible for development of an assigned territory in K-12 education – public and private. Territory development focuses on developing new fee-based business at both a school and district level. This provides an opportunity to expand our impact and reach. Sales will be developed by combining our proven sales process with our sales playbook and methodical outreach to schools with active teachers. 


  • Develop new business in ASSISTment partner schools and districts
  • Actively build, manage, and close a sales pipeline that reliably delivers sales above target 
  • Effective communication and collaboration across teams
  • Maintain deal transparency and pipeline health through real-time use of CRM (we use HubSpot)
  • Meet and/or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals and related key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Make outgoing sales calls seeking to expand from teacher access to school- and district-wide adoption
  • Handle incoming calls, inquiries, and marketing sourced leads
  • Successfully qualify and convert prospects
  • Utilize CRM to document and plan for sales success.
  • Conduct a minimum of 20 sales presentations (online) monthly that are new, first time meetings with school and district leaders
  • Participate positively and actively in sales meetings, sales coaching, and company functions as appropriate.
  • Maintain a close rate of at least 30% after 6 months in territory


  • Minimum of 3 years documented success in new business and growth sales role
  • Minimum of 1 year working out of a virtual or home office (prior to COVID-19)
  • Proficient in the use of a CRM (i.e., HubSpot) 
  • Experience selling via technology (i.e. phone, video, social media, Zoom, etc.) 
  • Excellent telephone prospecting skills
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, as well as effectively communication of various value propositions as solutions expand
  • Self-starter, great work ethic, organized and excellent interpersonal skills 
  • Must be a POSITIVE, can-do person, be adaptable to change
  • Education (K-12) sales experience is a plus but not a must have
  • Demonstrated ability to qualify and advance opportunities through a documented sales process
  • Cultivates relationships in support of sales, referrals, and account growth.    
  • College degree required
