School Success Manager

The ASSISTments Foundation is working with a growing number of schools to implement ASSISTments, our free teacher tool, effectively, including through a partnership with the Louisiana Department of Education. We seek a full-time School Success Manager to support the success of ASSISTments’ school partnerships. This role will be on the Program Team and report to the VP of Program and Partnerships, and work collaboratively with our Product team.

Please note that while this is a remote position, some travel within the state of Louisiana may be required, therefore candidates located within Louisiana are preferred.

The ASSISTments Foundation (TAF) is a non-profit with a staff dedicated to improving student learning through ASSISTments, a responsive online learning platform that is teacher-paced and evidence-based. ASSISTments allows teachers to assign independent math practice online, providing students with immediate feedback and teachers with actionable data. ASSISTments experienced tremendous growth, reaching over 20,000 teachers and 500,000 students last school year. The system is one of few available K-12 math tools proven effective through rigorous randomized controlled research.


School Training and Implementation Support

  • Plan, coordinate and facilitate high quality training on ASSISTments for teachers and instructional leaders (which, except for rare exceptions, will be virtual)
  • Lead collaborative planning sessions and check-ins with school and district administrators 
  • Master and improve upon ASSISTments existing training and support materials, innovating to ensure our school support is effective and of the highest quality 
  • Monitor and proactively support schools, based on data, providing ongoing coaching and solutions that meet schools needs and support success. This includes thinking of creative ideas for engaging and supporting schools with implementation challenges
  • Manage all logistics and documentation related to supporting schools (scheduling, agendas, tracking) 

Data and Progress Monitoring

  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators to measure school implementation success and quality of training and support. 
  • Develop tools to measure and track partner satisfaction and implementation progress
  • Develop and maintain clear systems for tracking support provided, and data associated with support (surveys, feedback, usage of ASSISTments). Continuously monitor data and use to drive improvements
  • Develop compelling external and internal-facing reports, and regularly report on progress to key stakeholders

Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a designated group of school partners, and all associated stakeholders (for example district and state leaders)
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders to allow for successful work
  • Establish effective communication systems and processes with internal and external stakeholders. Track interactions and ensure strong engagement
  • Support the growth of partnerships as evidence by increased number of schools and teachers served, increased engagement of those served, and contract renewals where appropriate 

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in K-12 education, preferably in math, and working with students from underserved backgrounds and implementing strategies that support equity and inclusion
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience outside the classroom, leading instructional initiatives across schools and districts (for example as an instructional coach or program manager)
  • Experience developing and facilitating high quality professional development for educators
  • Exceptional relationship building skills, including the ability to effectively communicate (written, oral) with senior district, state and school level administrators, as well as teachers
  • Experience coordinating cross-team projects, managing timelines and stakeholders, and strategizing creative solutions towards clear goals with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Able to self-direct and problem solve proactively 
  • Driven to work with small teams in a start-up environment, experience in such environments preferred. 
  • Knowledge of and experience with using ASSISTments strongly preferred, but not required (note this person would need to become expert in ASSISTments and have a strong desire to learn)

This is a full-time, fully remote position. Please note that while this is a remote position travel will be required within the state of Louisiana, therefore candidates located within Louisiana are preferred.
