The program aims to improve student math achievement, promote equity by enabling data-driven instruction, and empower teachers with actionable insights to support each student’s learning journey.
Tech Requirements
What are the technology requirements for a district to participate in this program?
- A Learning Management System (LMS): Direct integration is available for Google Classroom and Canvas; other LMSs can connect via Edlink.
- 1:1 technology access for students; ASSISTments works best with the latest versions of Chrome or Firefox and is compatible across devices, including Chromebooks, tablets, and standard laptops.
Implementation and Support
What resources and support will our teachers and school and district leaders receive throughout the program?
Teachers will receive an in-person kickoff training, 3-4 in-person coaching sessions, and on-demand learning resources during each year of participation.
How is the program tailored to address our school’s or district’s unique challenges, especially for equity in math learning?
Part of the success manager's initial planning and ongoing support includes developing an implementation roadmap with district and school leads to align on goals for using ASSISTments and how they support district and school math goals. In addition, a key component of the coaching is using teacher and student data to drive coaching decisions specific to the context of each classroom so that teacher and student needs can be met equitably regardless of the diverse situations in which the success manager is supporting teaching and learning with ASSISTments.
What kind of technical support and onboarding assistance is available?
Comprehensive onboarding and technical support are included, with a dedicated team available to address setup, integration, and ongoing troubleshooting.
Data and Reporting
How can leaders and teachers track program progress?
District and school leaders will receive monthly usage data reports and participate in quarterly progress check-in meetings. In these collaborative sessions, the ASSISTments team will review strategies and assess progress toward achieving your school’s and district’s goals.
Long-Term Value and Sustainability
How can the district sustain the use of ASSISTments after the grant period ends?
Teachers can continue to use the ASSISTments platform free of charge. Schools and districts that wish to provide professional learning and support for their teachers and instructional leaders and/or add a school/district data dashboard, may explore those paid options with ASSISTments.
