ASSISTments seeks diverse 7th grade Illustrative Math or Open Up Resources math teachers for paid opportunity
Thank you to all who expressed their interest. This opportunity is now closed.
ASSISTments* is seeking diverse 7th grade math teachers with experience using Illustrative Math and/or Open Up Resources for a paid opportunity to support the development of a new feature this summer. The feature is called instructional recommendations, and will provide math teachers with short tips for how to use student data they receive from our tool to inform their instruction.
What are we looking for? ASSISTments is looking for teachers who:
- Have taught 7th grade math
- Are familiar with the Illustrative Mathematics or the Open Up Resources Curriculum
- Can commit to approximately 25-35 hours of work for 5 weeks this summer
- The time will primarily be spent reviewing common wrong answers to problems in Illustrative Math and/or Open Up Resources, and generating an instructional tip that will support teachers. It will also involve weekly one hour meetings.
We enthusiastically welcome candidates of diverse backgrounds. We are committed to recruiting a cohort of teachers that reflects the communities of students we serve.
What will you gain? You’ll get to collaborate with a group of math teachers, hone your depth of understanding of your curriculum, influence the creation of a potential new ASSISTments feature, and earn $1,000 stipend at the end of the 5 weeks.
Thank you so much for your interest and time!
