We are looking for ASSISTments users to help us design a new professional learning community experience! By participating, you will have the chance to connect and develop a network of other ASSISTments users, and your feedback will be essential to helping us create a new form of support that will benefit you and future users. You will be compensated with $500 for lending your leadership and expertise to helping us develop this PLC. Please see below for additional details.
When: Starting week of April 27, 2020 and ending week of June 15, 2020, day and time dependent on participants
In order to participate, you need to fit all three criteria below:
- ASSISTments user
- Grade 7 and 8 teachers
- Willing to implement problems from Illustrative Mathematics (Open Up Resources/Kendall Hunt) or Engage NY (Eureka Math)
- Attend 4 one-hour virtual PLC gatherings on Zoom where you and other ASSISTments users, guided by an expert facilitator, will discuss and share ways to implement ASSISTments to support high-quality math teaching and learning
- Participate in asynchronous online conversations between gatherings to further your learning and support your new network of ASSISTments users
- Provide feedback on the PLC structure to help us improve and develop future PLCs for new and veteran ASSISTments users
