Sarah Miller

Research Scientist for E-TRIALS

Sarah supports individuals and teams using the Ed Tech Research Infrastructure To Advance Learning Science (E-TRIALS) platform to conduct research. This platform is integrated with ASSISTments and enrolls student users in randomized controlled trials on learning science topics. To assist E-TRIALS researchers, Sarah monitors study progress and coordinates data requests. She also supports research projects led by Dr. Neil Heffernan and his graduate students, including the development of new features in ASSISTments. Prior to joining ASSISTments, Sarah obtained her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology with a concentration in School Psychology from the University of Connecticut. While pursuing her doctorate, she supported school-based research and evidence synthesis projects. She also worked as a school psychologist. Sarah is passionate about school-based mental health, social emotional learning, and improving equity in education through the use of technology.
