A. Creating a Custom Problem Set
Step 1: Find problems either by Browsing Content or Searching by Standard. To do this, click on “Find & Assign” on the left side of your screen.
Step 2: In the “Search By Standard” search box, type in a common core standard or code or a keyword. A dropdown will automatically populate. Select the standard you’d like to search.
Step 3: View the results of your search. The problems that appear are those within our content that align to that standard. You can also filter the search results by Curriculum and/or Item Type.

Step 4: Once you have select problems, a button will appear in the bottom right hand corner. Click on the "Assign Problems" button and you will see two options. Select the "Add to Problem Set" option. You will be prompted to name this problem set and save.
B. Add Problems to an existing saved problem set.
Step 1: Once you have created your problem set, you can also Search by Standard or view Problem Sets in the ASSISTments Content Library to add additional problems. To do this, click on “Find Problems” on the left side of your screen.
Step 2: Once you’ve found the problems you’d like to add, choose them by using the selection box on the right side of each problem. Then, to add these problems to your existing set:

Step 3: When you are ready to assign your custom problem set, just click on My Problem Sets on the left side of your screen, click the triple-dot on the right side of the problem set, and click Open Problem Set. You will now be able to assign as normal.
C. Create Folders to Organize Custom Problem Set
Step 1: If you have created multiple custom problem sets, you can organize them into personalized folders. Click “New Folder” on the top right side of My Problem Sets.
Step 2: Name your folder and click save.
Your new folder will now appear in My Problem Sets. You will be able to create as many folders as you would like as well as any subfolders within those folders. To create a subfolder, click the triple dots next to the folder and select ‘Add new subfolder’.
D. Move Custom Problem Sets to Folders
Step 1: Click on the triple dot next to your custom problem set and select ‘Move To’.
Step 2: Click into the ‘Select a destination folder’ field. A dropdown menu will appear. Click on the arrow pointing to the right. This will open up a list of folders you have created.
Step 3: Select a folder to move your custom problem set. If you would like to move the assignment into a subfolder, click the arrow pointing to the right to see a list of subfolders to select from.
Step 4: Once you have selected the folder or subfolder you would like the assignment in, click ‘save’.
Note: You can click and drag to change the order of problem sets within the My Problem Sets or specific folders, but you cannot click and drag a problem set into a folder.
