What should I do when I or a student reach an error screen?

If you or a student reach an error screen, usually this is because ideal setup conditions for using ASSISTments are not in place. Here are some troubleshooting tips:

  1. If your student reaches an error screen, have them click 'Settings' in the top left corner of the Student View and click ‘OK’ to clear local storage.

  1. Make sure you and your students are using the most up-to-date version of your browser. Google Chrome and Firefox work best (but ASSISTments works with most up to date browsers)
  2. If you or students are logged into the internet browser, make sure it is with the same email address you use to access the learning management system you use with ASSISTments (Google Classroom or Canvas)
  3. Make sure that teachers and students have listed a first and last name in their Google Classroom or Canvas profiles.

If you continue to experience an error message please take a screenshot (like those pictured below) and send it to us, along with any descriptive information such as an error code, at contact@assistments.org.
