You will want to make sure you have set up a Google Classroom Class before you try to make an assignment. To do this follow the instructions from Google.
Go to www.ASSISTments.org
4. Click “Create a new account”
5. Once that is created, you will see your name in the upper right-hand corner (This teacher’s name is “Your Name”)
6. To verify that you have a teacher role, click your name in the top right corner and click ‘Settings.’
7. Then, in the Account Settings Tab under User Roles, you should see ‘Teacher.’
Note: If you are provided with a teacher role by your G-Suite administrator, sign-up is automatic and no additional steps are needed. If you check your settings and do not see ‘Teacher’ under User Roles or try to assign and ASSISTments notifies you that you do not have a teacher role in G-Suite, please do one of the following:
a. A picture of your school ID
b. A link to the staff page on your school website where you are listed.
c. Some other form of proof that you are a teacher.
